Densha
This website has a nice visual overview of most (if not all) Japanese trains, including the countless variants some train types have: http://www.uraken.net/rail/alltrain/ 4 Link to comment
velotrain
I sent it through Google translate, but sadly the only thing translated was "Picture book of Japanese railroad vehicle". Link to comment
Densha
The website is encoded in Shift JIS, rather than the universal Unicode which is used on more modern websites. I had to select manually select Shift JIS in my browser before it was readable at all. Google Translate doesn't seem to recognize the encoding over here as well, which I didn't check beforehand because my Japanese is sufficient to browse the website. I don't really know how to get it in English. Edited February 18, 2016 by Densha Link to comment
POMU
Densha, Charles. I use the Bing translator which IMHO is the best translator. Website came through fine in English. POMU Edited February 18, 2016 by POMU 1 Link to comment
velotrain
That did work POMU - thanks. Even more amazing - the translation carries down to lower levels !!! Edited February 19, 2016 by velotrain Link to comment
Suica
Some pages can't be translated even by BING. For example "Commuter trains" and "Limited express diesel cars". Anyway, that's a really nice page. Thanks for sharing! Link to comment
