Narita Express

Ciao,

At last the Narita Expres completed its looooooooooooooooooong trip from Japan to ... Africa!

Let's stop kidding: the train I got (used) on e-Bay arrived at home, eventually. It's a six pieces train (that reminds me once more six cars is the maximum number can safely stop at Mangarahara). It works good and to my surprise, since the seller didn't mentioned it, has internal lights (lamps, I think, and not led).

And this is, so far, the only complain: one lamp - is not working, getting a spare lamp of the same "colour" could be tricky. ...

Enough now, here are few pics of the Nairta Express crossing Mangarahara on its way to the airport ... LLLOOOLLL!!!

PS: a short videoclip will - hopefully - follow ASAP!!!

Nice!

Actually, both the Tomix 92051 made and Kato 10-408 Made have factory pre-installed interior lighting (Non-LED type). It'll be strange of it is missing ~~~   :)

Ciao,

I didn't know (light system it's factory fitted, may he - the seller - knew that) so I could have considered it (the lights) as a bonus ... ;)

Nice, I really must get one of these.

BTW on the last (4th) photo, the advertising column on the right-hand platform is upside down.

I got a second hand used train once.  And one of the interior lights wasn't working.  Turned out just to be a loose contact.  Probably fell out in transit after a decent bump.  Reassemble and all good.

Just make sure it is in there and actually non operational before you go chasing down another replacement.  ie swap lights into other cars to see if operational etc.
