My Temporary Setups - Mostly Trains!

Admired and ran the Shiki-Shima and it was difficult to run anything else with it because it made the other trains feel inferior. :)  I noticed that it shares a couple of features with the 251 - round and fluted roof and of course the panoramic roof on the cab cars but that's about it.  I love almost everything about this train except for the tiny windows on one side of the cars.

Nice!!!! Put that in as your next train to ride the next time you visit Japan! One expensive ride she is.

Any plans to light up the interior? It's got enough detail to deserve that special treatment.

Hey Ian, no plans for interior lighting.  I actually had ask Nariichi when I pre-ordered it to install lights but when I saw on youtube how it looked with lights, I decided to not have it done.  It looks great as it is.  The ends cars have plenty of light coming in to be able to see the interior.

I'm getting really hooked on these container trains both Japanese and American.  I'm getting more and more containers, I think I have enough JRF and will get more private companies.  I really like that I can configure the containers in different ways making for a different looking train.  I also mixed up the containers on the Gundersons' which made it look a little more interesting instead of having all the same containers in the 5 car set.

They look even better when there s three or four sidings close together and full of them.👍👍😀

Got my first T-Trak module - a triple.  It's from T-Kits and got it pre-assembled, you know me.  I mocked up my rural station and platform set.  Can't wait to do some scenery work.

Nice work Junior!  I was mocking up my own modules yesterday, but now I'm tempted to get some of these instead of my shoddy homemade ones.  How bad was the shipping cost?

Shipping was $13.95. The module is super light. I was surprised how cheap the shipping was, big box but light.

That s a really nice station set Junior and deserves to be set up and displayed,a really nice center piece for any layout.Its kinda got its own display stand with that base too.Plus it saves having to set it up everytime.👍

I'm going to start with 4 modules to do just a simple oval and will add to it as I go along.  This should keep me busy for a while and hope to develop some modeling and scenery making skills as I go along.  And maybe this can be the beginning of a layout.  The garage does need some rearranging. :)

Here's a typical American Train - more power more better. It's a little overkill I know but they look so darn good together, I plan to get more cars as they are released. :)

Rio grand also ran heavyweights mixed in along with their budd cars, so a Kato California zephyr set will stretch that train out quick!

Like you say,it s a typical American train,it s certainly how a none American person would imagine it to be and when you see some of the loads they pull you can understand why.

My 3 MAX Trains, I like my double decker trains - the 747's on the rails.  I'm on the fence about getting the other E4 in the blue and yellow color scheme.

Finally some winter weather so stayed in and played with trains almost the whole day.  Took trains out of hibernation and spun their wheels.  Had the Inspection trains go first to make sure the track were good before the other trains got their turn.  :)
