velotrain
With the old server I would stay logged on for months at a time. Just in the past week or so I've had to login several times a day. Is anyone else experiencing this? Link to comment
katoftw
If you have been deleting caches or cookies in an attempt to fix your picture uploading issues. Then this will also auto log in cookies. I haven't had to log in for many months. Edited January 3, 2016 by katoftw Link to comment
velotrain
I had deleted cache, but that was a fair number of days ago now. I should think the cookies would be restocked the first time I logged back in? Link to comment
Takahama Trainwatcher
No problems here. It keeps me logged in. Link to comment
cteno4
Working here on a few different systems. Did you check the keep me logged in box on the login page? Click on log off the log back in and check the box and see if it keeps that way. It was like kato said I think the cashe and cookie clearing caused this. If you didn't clear cookies go look in your cookie list and find the JNS one and delete it, restart the browser and then login again and make sure the box is clicked. Jeff Link to comment
velotrain
That box is selected and always has been. I'll try the process tomorrow - later today. Link to comment
cteno4
It's in an issue in your browser not the server. The cookie setting on your browser is what tells the server to keep you logged in or not. Jeff Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
I did notice having to log in myself again a couple of times as well since the move, but it seems to be back to normal for the moment. I can have a look at the session settings, but I haven't made any changes to the forum settings themselves, so it'll have to be a server side setting somewhere. Link to comment
velotrain
I checked my Internet options, and I had set it to delete browsing history on exit - I should be all set. thanks Martijn Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
Ah right.. That's not really the best option to have turned on if you want to use the 'keep me logged in' feature :D Link to comment
velotrain
I did it trying to address another (non-JNS) issue, and had forgotten to reset it. Link to comment
