miyakoji
Yeah it does look pretty cool. When I left Japan in 2007 I took the 253 series NEX, I didn't really care for the interior that much, it seemed claustrophobic. These two sets that they kept were refurbed which apparently included a completely new interior. I'm not sure anyone has made a model of the 1000 subseries, a few I've seen online are handmade, such as this one: http://blog.goo.ne.jp/kotehasitetudou/e/8078c9d8bc251dba47041a563e6b2e06 Link to comment
ToniBabelony
I've ridden it last May from Shinjuku to Kinugawa-onsen: http://www.jnsforum.com/community/topic/10010-golden-week-adventures It's a nice and comfortable ride wich gets interesting only after Kurihashi when entering the Tōbu network. The tracks get more curvy and the scenery also becomes more interesting. 1 Link to comment
JR 500系
I've ridden it last May from Shinjuku to Kinugawa-onsen: http://www.jnsforum.com/community/topic/10010-golden-week-adventures It's a nice and comfortable ride wich gets interesting only after Kurihashi when entering the Tōbu network. Just curious, between this (the E253 Nikko) and the Tobu Spacia, which seems to be a better choice? Regarding the model, I don't think we have seen this livery yet, but since both Kato and Tomix did the 253 former N'EX, it is simply a re-painting of the train set... Perhaps it can be nice to have this in model too.... Tomix did the 253 into the Nagano Snow Monkey sets too... Link to comment
