rkarr
Hi, I came across a HO set for free. Thought is was kind of dumb (sorry) but decided to get some track and let me son play with it for Christmas. My dad said I need to get some switches. Thought that was kind of dumb (sorry). Now... I'm on all the second hand sights looking for N gauge stuff! Very cool and fits my space needs. I live in Japan and run a T-Shirt printing shop for fun. Hope to find some info about layouts for small spaces and any drawbacks to N gauge. V/R Rk Link to comment
Bernard
Hi Rk, welcome to the forum.....living in Japan you will find it easy to find N scale trains. How old is your son? Reason I'm asking is because N scale can he fragile and very small for infants. Bernard Link to comment
cteno4
Welcome RK! I think you will find that n scale is a very good compromise on size, price, space, value, and features. Young kids can play with it with some training. Living in Japan you will find gobs of used stuff as well! There are several active members on the forum that live in Japan and they should be able to give you some good shopping tips. Keep us posted on your adventures! Cheers Jeff Link to comment
