Does anyone have any drawing of either a Kiha 40/47 or a 415. I am planning a custom paint job of black with silver trim for my own line on the layout.

Vince what you just gave me is perfect. I basically need something I can open in Photoshop and fill in rthe colors I want for a custom paint job, so I can show the painter how I want him to paint the model. (N-scale is too small for me to airbrush with my level of hand shake.)

About $100 + the cost of the car. I'm thinking of buying that Kiha40 TOMIX makes. I had one on pre-order since October but when I got the layoff notice I canceled the order in January before they shipped. I think I should be able to repaint one of these without too much trouble.

Yeah, maybe you should they are great models and a paint will do wonders on them.

I seem to recall you have a Kiha 40. I assume the red is painted and not just the color of plastic itself?

Yeah, I own four of them but I can't tell you if the red is painted or just the color of the plastic. I wouldn't know how to make the difference.
