While looking on You Tube today I found this excellent video channel which features many railway themed shows from Japanese TV such as Real Scope and Big 4.

That's a good channel! I like to watch the Big 4 ride the various trains. Thanks for sharing!

The "Tetsudo Big 4" is capable to show the interesting side of various trains that they rode, of course with lots of comedies that made the program even more interesting than the expected (though there are some comedies that actually not suitable for people under 17 years old).

 

Of course the members are famous people that well known for their activities as railfan. They are:

 

1. Yuusuke Minamida (南田裕介), one of artist manager that works at Horipro

2. Reiji Nakagawa (中川 礼二), a comedian from Owarai kombi group "Nakagawa-ke"

3. Akiyoshi Okayasu (岡安章介), a comedian from Owarai trio group "Naname 45°"

4. Masahiro Yoshikawa (吉川正洋), a comedian from Owarai kombi group "Darling Honey"

This is some sort of game show/reality show which involves riding lots of trains everywhere.

That Kumamoto episode must be fairly new.  The overhead platforms at JR Kumamoto Station only recently became operational.

I have no idea what's going on, but they seem to be enjoying themselves hugely and you can learn a lot for modelling purposes just by looking at the background. It looks rather like the last series of Top Gear but with trains!
