Sacto1985
The English side of the RocketNews 24 website just posted a story about a couple of interestingly unusual ways to attract riders to trains: http://en.rocketnews24.com/2015/07/07/all-aboard-japans-crazy-pro-wrestling-and-electronic-dance-music-trains-%E3%80%90videos%E3%80%91/ The article--including a couple of short YouTube videos--show a train on the Yamagata Railway Company's Flower Nagai Line turned into a wrestling ring and a Seibu Ikebukuro train that was turned into dance club (of all things!). Mind you, railways all over Japan do a lot of promotions to attract riders (especially for tourism purposes), but this are some of the more unusual promotions. (By the way, for those who want to see what the Flower Nagai Line in Yamagata Prefecture looks like, YouTube member OleOleSaggy filmed this zenmen tenbou video 11 months ago:) 1 Link to comment
