Sacto1985
YouTube member ato5kgyasetaito filmed this interesting zenmen tenbou video of a trip on the JR Kyushu Hōhi Main Line from Kumamoto to Ōita in two parts from a KiHa 125 DMU, a model unique to the JR Kyushu network: Kumamoto to Bungo Taketa: Bungo Taketa to Ōita: The trip started at 0503 hours JST, just before dawn. Also, note the different sounding ATS warning signal, unique to JR Kyushu trains. 1 Link to comment
katoftw
This guys videos are always top quality with good descriptions. Bungo-Taketa is on the list to visit. Relitive unknown to most. Has a nice temple and Toris just north of the station up the side of cliff face. Shinsuizenji is an interesting station. I remember catching a train from there last year. Must have originally been a ground station, and then the got raise above the main busy street it was near. Trams og underneth it. Edited June 15, 2015 by katoftw Link to comment
Densha
Here you can see a comparison of how Shinsuizenji looked in 2006 and in 2011: http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%96%B0%E6%B0%B4%E5%89%8D%E5%AF%BA%E9%A7%85#.E7.86.8A.E6.9C.AC.E5.B8.82.E4.BA.A4.E9.80.9A.E5.B1.80 Looks like they moved the station from southwest of the street to on top of the street. The tram stop was also moved closer to the station. 1 Link to comment
