Sacto1985
Perusing through YouTube today, I found the following interesting zenmen tenbou videos: JR East Chūō Main Line Rapid Service, Ōtsuki to Tokyo from an E233 Series EMU: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPKcVFTC2Uw Note that this is a very small number of Chūō Main Line Rapid Service trains that goes west beyond Takao Station. Note when you reach Takao Station, you can see on the left side the terminating tracks used by most trains coming in from Tokyo. JR East Hachikō Line/Kawagoe Line service from Hachiōji to Kawagoe from a 209-3000 Series EMU: Note that this is more a regional line connecting the western wards of Tokyo with southern Saitama Prefecture. JR East Hachikō Line local service, Komagawa to Takasaki from a KiHa 110-200 Series DMU: Note the very rural nature on much of this part of the Hachikō Line, hence the reason why it was never electrified. 1 Link to comment

miyakoji
whre i am now at 0525 am as i write this I love those super early trains. The last place I lived, the first inbound was before 5AM. Under any other circumstances I want to sleep until 6:30 or so, but that weird feeling, like I'm walking a few steps ahead of myself. You ever get that? :) Link to comment
Sacto1985
By the way, the same YouTube member who shot that excellent 60 fps zenmen tenbou video of a trip on the JR East Joban Line from Tsuchiura to Shinagawa (which I've posted before) also did by far the best video of the JR East Hachiko Line from Kamogawa to Takasaki Stations: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2a5lDZCpqg The sunny day clearly shows the lush, hilly country between Kamogawa and Yorii Stations, compared the version done by YouTube member Japan Train Viewing.
