So my first display layout at Silver Age Comic wasn't bad, there were some hiccups, but all in all, it went pretty well. I operate all my engines, and I'm exhausted after this, but I enjoyed talking to some people who were interested in my layout, and it was nice talking to those people. They were also quite excited about 4014 arrival in my city tomorrow(I live in Sparks, Nevada), I might do this again, but there will be changes for next year. In the end, I enjoyed my first display, and was glad to show the convention my layout and engines! There will be more photos, but here are the first two of the photos.

I've been talking about this convention and my operation for a while, but here we have Nevada Steam Spectacular, a celebration of 844's 80th birthday and the 160th anniversary of Nevada(my state), there will be operating passenger excursion sessions for each engine, including photo shoots. I plan to buy the Broadway Limited Reading 2102 in N Scale Stealth Mode, to operate a light engine run during the convention. I'm also planning to print out the schedules so people can use them whenever they want to see what time for each session. I'm excited about this because it'll be the first time that my layout and my engines are seen in public for the first time. If this is successful, I'm planning to do this again in 2025 with Reading 2102 and that engine's 80th anniversary. My photos by the way. Link to convention site: https://www.silveragecomiccon.com/

If I only could go! International Model Railroad Conventiom(JAM)2023

Ever since I've been in this hobby, I always wanted to visit this convention, so many nice layouts at Tokyo Big Sight, and lucky folks in this forum were able to go. Info: https://kokusaitetsudoumokei-convention.jp/ -
Noticed this at the local bookstore- it's a special edition magazine about the 2015 JAM convention, from the publishers of RM Models. Lots of pics of layouts- a few very good modular layouts and dioramas in HO and N that are very prototypical, not just the roundy-roundies with lots of viaducts and minimal scenery. https://www.neko.co.jp/?p=104205
