Wow the power lines and substation are so close to the houses, I sure hope that strong magnetic field won't affect human's health holds true.

 

I also found it amazing that the substation is so clean and spotless.

That's a great scenic detail, thanks for the photos. 

 

I think a similar-looking substation is going to find its way onto my layout somewhere; shouldn't be too hard to model, basically a box with a few exterior details (smoked windows, several doors and external power & A/C units) and a bunch of wires/insulators.
