I had the pleasure of chatting with Brad and Paul and see in person their wonderful modules. Since the Los Altos Train Show and getting to experience the behind the scenes of these shows, I have gained a deeper appreciation for all the work that goes into putting these events together. I really appreciate Paul, Brad and all the other exhibitors for taking the time to share with the community their wonderful work and trains. Me and my kids had a great time. nscalestation Posted April 16, 2017 Share Posted April 16, 2017 Thanks Junior for posting those great photos and it was great to see you again. They sure had a mob of people at the Museum today. Jeff, construction scenes are a great fit on any urban Japanese layout and there are quite a few products offered to make them easy to do. Still much more for me to do to add to the subway station construction scene. Both Paul and I are retired as are most of the Peninsula Ntrak group. We had at least a few there every day with Paul being there every day. The climbing tower crane is from Studio Mid. I also wonder if there shouldn't be something more substantial to it's base ? Can I ask what is used for the excavation material that the excavator is scooping into the tipper truck? It fits in perfectly! Link to comment

nscalestation Posted March 15, 2018 Share Posted March 15, 2018 AsiaNrail will be back again for the 2018 edition of this show which will take place between Saturday, March 31st and Sunday, April 8th. The museum will be closed for Easter Sunday, April 1st. This event will include several other display layouts of all scales as well as the museum's regular exhibits. From first hand experience I think he needs some tour buses and crowds of visitors in that scene. Link to comment

nscalestation Posted March 31, 2018 Share Posted March 31, 2018 Friday (yesterday) was setup day for the Hiller show. In this first photo Paul and I have unloaded our vehicles and are ready to start setting up the layout. A few hours later we had the layout set up and running ! We got some help from Sam (Kiha66) and from Julia of the Peninsula Ntrak club. During that time the FreemoN group also showed up and got a start on their layout seen in the background. 5 Link to comment

serotta1972 Posted April 4, 2018 Author Share Posted April 4, 2018 (edited) Got a chance to go back to the Museum and hang out with Paul and really got to admire all the cool little details in their modules. I tried to capture them the best I can. Looks like there's some progress in the subway construction and in many of Brad's scene, there's always people eating. serotta1972 Posted April 8, 2018 Author Share Posted April 8, 2018 Went back to hang out with Paul and Sam and do a photoshoot on Brad's Hot Spring module with the new Kato HB-E300 "Resort Shirakami" and it looked to be right at home and was blending into the scenery. The livery is striking and I was on the fence about the scheme but when I got it and saw the actual train, I'm really glad I got it. 3 2 Link to comment
