So yeah, I guess I've joined the M250 club

I just need what, a repeat of what I've got a few sets of the 8-car flats and a set of renumbering decals and I'll be right!

I did wonder how Kato managed the labelling for the add on sets that come in bookcases

I see these M250s are popular, even someone from our local hungarian group got a set recently. Though no wonder, it's a pretty cool train, looks great in motion.

What do you do with them? Do you have a scene that includes them all?

Currently I don't have a layout, but this should be done at some point. At the moment it's more of a collection for later projects. In the past, some locomotives were also used at exhibitions with IG-Nippon

I forgot to mention that the M250 info sheet included cleaning advice and driving instructions - basically slow down for diverging. First time I've seen them in such a document

Parcel of bits and bobs arrived today thanks to RGR.

A few couplers for me and for @roadstar_na6– I’ll have to remember which ones are for whom – as well as an instant lettering sheet for my KiHa 183 since nobody here had any spares.

Two Tokyo Diorama Factory house paper kits, which looks a lot worse on their packaging than on their website. I look forward to build those and see the quality. Though I don’t remember ordering anything green.

Aldo 3D parts from DMM for use on the Railway Collection. I’ll have to figure out how to paint them.

and then one Casco case and a couple of urethane inserts (not pictured for lack of sexiness).

Quality is very good and clean.

Shop is Musashi ModelRailway Factory, https://make.dmm.com/shop/74146/, I had talked about them in the Third party parts & manufacturers thread. They also have a blog (http://musashimokei.blog.fc2.com/) and a Twitter account (https://twitter.com/MusashiMokei). They have a ton of parts available for various models. I definitely recommend roaming and browsing their entire DMM shop.

DMM is only available to Japanese shoppers, but parts can be ordered by Rail Gallery Rokko or ModelTrainPlus with their personal shopper service. I very much look forward fitting those skirts to the Tomytec DMUs as it would allow me to fit them with Kato couplers.

wow, not seen Tokyo Diorama Factory before. Looks like nice lasercut models, but looks like not fully colored laserboard? Details are fun and nice to have a wider selection for them. Is Rokko carrying theM or do you have them buy then as a personal shopper?

please add to the suppliers forum with your review of them!

I had to ask Tokonami-san to order them for me. But I had talked to TDF and they had told me that they were planning on selling overseas but that the payment was not sorted out yet. Otherwise, I don't think anyone stocks them.

The quality on the website looks really good. Yes, it seems the boards are not fully colored, the edges look bare on their pictures. I'm just looking for density and variety and I like building those kits. I'll report once I have built one. I haven't open them yet. Just finished working and it's already 10:32pm.

Cool. Brake out all the markers, colored pencils and such to work on the edges. Still that ace in the hole sankei has with their laserboard, but it’s a limited pallet of colors probably compared to matte boards.

is there any singeing on the colored face? Looked like there might be some (still amazed sankei has none of this, really even on their edges) from the pictures of whole cards.

hope they get international shipping, could be a new vice…

What are those part used for ? what rolling stock ?

Different ones. These are for Railway Collection models. The skirts are for my Akita Nairku AN8800. The original skirts are not as detailed and do not allow for functional coupling. The zipbag on the left contains underfloor equipment for a Tobu 8000. Much better quality than the originals.

It's been a while since I ordered a Japanese train, but I was quite captivated by the recent pictures of a Kyushu liveried KiHa 185, so I've pre-ordered one of the upcoming Tomix models.

Oh, and I ordered more trees. Because you can never have enough trees.

Latest Japanese haul, arrived Wednesday courtesy Zenmarket and Hobbysearch:

Nothing tested yet, the C56 hasn’t left its case (yet) but may do so tomorrow if work decides not to give me a shift.

I already have plans to order a replacement set of front spoke wheels for said C56 and think it’ll look pretty good once it’s done. Not a big fan of disc wheels pretending to be spoke wheels.
