OMG what a load of beauties there!

Just small deliveries here. HKTILC lights (for the "older" cars, less blue'ish ones), and a random win on sale on ebay.

I’m trying really hard to keep my Japanese collection to just the Kyushu region but I couldn’t resist these two. The new Hikari is a real stunner! 👌

Technically they are both from the Kyushu region as they both run through Kokura to Hakataminami, the only time I have travelled on a 500 Series was with my son in 2017 between Hakata and Kokura, it's one of his favourite trains and we just had to tick that box, it may have only been a 10 minute trip but it was enough for the experience, the Railstar's however I have ridden multiple times between Shin Osaka and various locations along the Sanyo Shinkansen.

@Kamome definitely weeks 😉  😅

@cteno4 noooooooo, I make sure that my parcel deliverer has enough work 🙂 they also like to pet my dog and do tricks with him 😂

@beakaboy That sounds funny, but I have almost as many goods as my local dealer. I've been collecting over the years (especially the accessories) that I can get started on building without interruption 😉

Ok, since yesterday I finally have an EF55 again, even though I paid way too much for it. Unfortunately, world kougei has always postponed its kit so that it has not yet been delivered 😕

Another attempt at capturing the great job Tomix did with this train.

A few Kato Takis I purchased in April "buy it now" from an auction site. Sorry for the photo glare. I work 7 days a week now so I don't have time to post very often. But that is a good thing because I have less time to buy trains. 😁

Been awhile, I too have picked up the DD51 Last Run, from RGR and it almost didn't get to me as they shipped it to the wrong city/state. At least I caught that fact in route and DHL let me redirect to the correct one. As the exchange rate changed to my benefit, I payed less then I was expecting too.

DM toys has been auctioning some on its eBay shop. Going price is... I don't think want to know. But it's low.

Something nice and boring:

Boring? Pffft. It's only boring if you're used to seeing it all the time. I found I could never get bored when I was in Japan in 2019, so much variety even if most of what I saw in Tokyo was a uniform shade of E233. Mind you, I come from a country where passenger trains are pretty rare to non-existent, and variety is negligible to non-existent most of the time.

Another preorder has been added to my catalog of back orders: this time, the Kato 10-1727 limited edition "SL Hitoyoshi" set. Having seen a post that it was being done, I had a look during a break at work and lazily thought, "yeah, I can preorder that through Hobbysearch when I get home." Turns out that Hobbysearch had already closed preorders for the set when I got home. A bit of net-hunting revealed that PlazaJapan still had them available for order, at a very slightly cheaper rate though with the caveat of paying now over when the set comes in stock. I didn't want to miss out, so decided to take the hit and order it anyway. No regrets, right?

Back in the realm of items already in production, two ED75s (Kato) and a Hikari Rail Star (Tomix) are being loaded up for departure at Hobbysearch (but still no sign of the preordered ED75 bodyshell) while meanwhile in Auckland there's a Tomix 2022 Guide and a two-axle brake van 'modelling guide' sitting in a DHL depot on their way to me, also from Hobbysearch. The former completes my Tomix collection back to 2006 - thanks to a 2011-12 Guide purchased via Zenmarket - while the latter looked interesting and I enjoyed the companion volume on Tohoku-area red electrics.

2022 is shaping up to be a vintage year for my modelling interests. Just don't tell my wallet, I think it hates me!

*ahem* Sentence does not compute, no boring train could be found. Would you like your sentence to be changed to: Something nice and exciting?

Have been toying with whether to add a third E4 to have a full 16 car consist in original livery. Decided instead to just add these Hobby center cab ends with the Ibis marks added, bridging the gap between the yellow and pink banded liveries.A7B81070-F98B-42F8-A96B-B27B1A0C58EC.thumb.jpeg.a144b44eaaaff585d639da6df6a16a8a.jpegDF54EA34-FB57-4A00-9E33-C79F5C68B1B2.thumb.jpeg.0d17a8388918a41158be3f2c5ae33f0f.jpeg
