Got a packet from Buyee today. Got some former Sanriku trains (36-2110, 36-501, 36-105) for my collection. When learning for final exams, I procrastinate watching Amachan - it's nice that the Amachan-related trains include station stickers for fictional towns from the series, I might use them for my layout in the future. The couplers are for 36-100s - but not as-is, Santetsu does not use shibatas. But JC6360 are sold out everywhere and are very difficult to find, not even one, so I combine body of JC6343 and coupler pin of JC6353 (that I have a bunch of) to build JC6360 😄

Also got some Casco stuff so all trains are perfectly safe while stored. A new casket that is going to store all 36-100s, a new urethanes for Kato caskets (Bernina express and soon-to-be-rereleased EW1 cars) and a casket for Rhätishe bahn locos. Also threw in a set of urethane mats to use as top covers. Hm, reading the description I've just written, seems that I tend to overcomplicate stuff 😄 But it's so beautiful now. Three caskets for red trains, two caskets for Sanriku and two caskets for KiHas and my collection is coming close to being complete - after my Rhätishe bahn preorders are fulfilled. Hopefully I'll not broaden my areas of interest 😱

The two Amachan-related boxes also include a rail and a paper background of Sodegahama port to act as a mini diorama inside the container. I'm tempted to use them, it looks pretty good 👍 These older trains lack a slot for TN coupler and have a dummy coupler without a possibility for upgrade on one side (or both), which kinda makes them suitable as a static exhibit.

So this is the little beaut. While I had already preordered some things from Plaza Japan that I’m waiting for, this is officially my first Japanese model. 😃😃😃😃

Last month's (or the month before?) order:

march21.thumb.JPG.edcfc9210597cd457f52cb842bc0ad70.JPG

The Kato TaKi-25000s are slightly less clunky than their Tomix counterparts, also nice to have some different road numbers. The SD55 is a nice little diesel with only one fiddly piece to glue on on the deck. The book is 'Enjoy N Gauge Freight Trains' and has a lot of good pictures for reference, even has a catalogue inside of almost every N scale container to be released or rereleased as of 2021. The HD300 on the cover threw me, I thought I missed a model somewhere. It also has some pictures of actual consists and individual cars for weathering ideas and a minimalist track plan for a working container yard. It definitely touches more on contemporary freight and less on JNR and earlier freight.

April had a little more:

KoKis are out of date but oh well, I can always turn back the clock. The 0 series upgrade is great, just be careful removing the shell from the old chassis around the cab area because it does not want to come off. The Kato parts are EF210 grabs that I'll eventually get around to putting on my older EF210. Also if anyone else has the 'Maste' Slicer do you know where to find the blades for it? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

Who did make that HD300? Is it one of the World Kogei models or is there something exciting on the horizon?

World Kogei did have a limited edition run of HD300-901 back in 2015, you would have to part with a kidney to buy one and to be honest you would be better off waiting till Tomix or Kato do a model of the full production unit rather than the prototype.

There is a brass kit of it listed on HS

EDIT: I should read all posts before answering lol. Tree'd by a million ages...

I wondered if it was a new model from Kato/Tomix/MA. That would have been pretty cool (along with a DD200 as well). Fingers crossed both get produced in the future...

Exhibit ‘B’ in the new arrivals line up: the Kato MaNi 60-200 luggage van. It arrived last Friday, I got to test it only briefly on Saturday night because work called me in... 😒

It comes with a little plastic ‘screwdriver’ for the sliding switches underneath for the tail lights. Right now I haven’t fiddled with the switches so only one set of lights is working for the time being.

Also tested my new Tomix EF66, it’s a nice locomotive and runs well - so I guess it’s all good then! I decided to try it with my KoKi’s and IMO it’s a nice pairing, maybe not prototypically correct but hey -  my layout, my trains.

Its a tramway chassis for trams. low top speed which will suit me for my unitram layout when I build it.  The truck is a  New release from Tomica and I was very impressed

Yes more buses wahahaha cannot get enough of them, even in duplicates!

Some items that were sitting in the bargains bin. I realise the coreless motor from GM were really too light and might cause the motor to be too powerful and lose traction on slopes, hopefully, these will help! (and my first few cute horsies)

I usually dont go into JR West (from my previous export of JR West trains) but this one was really attractive (i dont have a green train yet haha) and the wrapping is pretty nice ~ And i'm missing a 201 series! (or i'm just finding excuses)...
