What did you order or the post deliver? (Japanese N Gauge)

Well a BR103 would be the standard choice for the job but i'm also interested in the BR110 with the TEE livery. But I have to admit that such a loco isn't that high on my priority list right now, maybe I'll find one for a reasonable price one day. Until then i still have a blue Arnold 110 which is quite old but at least it can act as a "replacement loco".

This last week I received my first DHL delivery, a few items from Nariichi San at Model trains plus.

including a second DF200 for my collection.

I also got a Hobby search delivery, that included a DD51 that was reserved, and then came to Australia whilst I was only holiday in Japan in March, wasnt collected and went back to HS!

Does anyone else store items other than sound cards in the sound card book??

The Haul!

More to come next week, including 2 orders that were made in April that sat in an EMS shed for months!

Not bad at 66 containers per casket. Easily containing more value in containers than most train sets in the same sized casket.

My little $1 boxes hold about 50 and I’m always remembering the little $1 box is holding at least $150 of containers... even worse with tomytec cars as they can hold up to 100 and so many of those long oop and would be outlandishly expensive to replace.

A recent DHL delivery from HS. The core was the Sakuramachi bus set that I managed to finally pick up on the second restock at HS. The rest I added to fill out the package, but needed nonetheless. The apartment building is one I missed out on earlier this year. I’ve seen a lot of apartments like this and I wanted it for the suburban transition section of my layout. I’m going to have to work out a better way to photograph my stuff. This is way too glary.6E84F861-B9AF-4109-BF7D-EBB67ED236E7.thumb.jpeg.b68b0af13c5eb5f511588b2994e70839.jpeg

Yesterday an order from hobby search that I placed in March arrived via DHL, after its adventure with EMS, back to HS and sent again.

Some yard lights for my Freight module ( I should really make a post about that!) and some more forklifts. By the time my reservation with the new forklifts comes (wanted those blue cabs!) I will have way too many!

This order came from AmiAmi. I'd had it in my HS cart for ages, and was waiting for the lights to come into stock. They both went out of stock, so I found one on AmiAmi and went for it, it seems like a popular item?

More containers! (need to slow down on these, I have about 170...)

I like the yard lights except for the cable, I wish you could easily unclip it underneath.

I got just the 6 cars. I know its not prototypical, but I don't know that i would have space for the 12 cars, the motor car and 2 DD51's, to even display it. (I know i'll change my mind at some point).

Kato 10-825 and a couple of boxes of U19A-12000s.

As mentioned in another forum, ordered from RG-Rokko on Sunday at 16:00, delivered to London, Wednesday afternoon - three working days!

Exceptional service from both seller and DHL.

So I was heading to Shinjuku this evening for no particular reason when the train stopped at Nakano for a particular reason (it being a scheduled halt and all that)  leaving me looking at the entrance to the Nakano Sun Road covered shopping street, which leads to Nakano Broadway, where I haven't been since the Heisei Emperor was still on the job, so thought I'd pay it a visit.

Happily all three train stores are still open (I swear I once found another one also selling some N gauge stuff but was never able to find it again), the Mandarake one has even expanded slightly. "Big Yard" has however removed its slightly passive-aggressive signs in English aimed at tourists, the lack of whom made for easier navigation of the infernally twisty complex.

Even more happily I came upon a stash of new or as-new Tomix KiHa 55s, which are a bit thin on the ground, and which I need to expand my 2-car 92013 set into an early "Alps" formation. Just need a KiRo 25 and we can party like it's 1960.

Added bonus: a 2006 Rail Magazine ("Exciting Monthly For Enthusiasts") with a Chuo Line special.

You can still count how many you have? I don't even want to try to count how many I do even after selling some duplicates....

Finally my very own Nozomi. I've wanted one for a long time.

WOW! A full 16-car! Now that's cool!

Still awaiting my Sayonara to have my very first 16-car full train, being one of my fav shinkansen the 700 series...

I also got my accordion  bus, but I forgot to put it in the photo.

How could you? That is a crime on its own!  😛

my auction winnings on a local auction site recently + 3 electric points as well.  The trader gave me some frebbies too (12 pieces of secondhand track and extension cables for the points) All up the goods cost me NZ$80 with postage. The Loco was not included.

A Kato 8620 arrived by DHL this Monday morning after the order was placed with RG-Rokko on Friday morning!  Well packed and while 2,800 yen is a bit pricy for delivering one loco RG-Rokko's price was very competitive.  I would certainly use them again.

Cheers,

Graeme

While not a big fan of DHL the service seems pretty fast.  I ordered the Tomix South Hokkaido Railway Nagamere set Monday night my time / Tuesday morning Japan time and the package was dropped off on my porch a little while go - Friday afternoon in North Carolina.

I need to stop watching the NHK railway shows or there will be more parcels heading my way ....

Cheers,

Tony Galiani

Umm, yeah, if your modelling region is As Seen On NHK™, that would lead to a rather extensive fleet.
