Not wanting to start another PTE line but the Keisei skyliner was too beautiful to resist....

It's been awhile since I've been on, I didn't know Tomix had made a Skyliner.  That's awesome.  I had given up anyone but Micro Ace making a Keisei train.

Do you happen to have the Micro Ace version of this Skyliner?  If so, how do they compare?

Thanks for sharing!

I have to honor my username somehow, don't I?😄

You are doing an excellent job of honoring your username!

You also have a rather nice collection of other passenger trains from all over Japan. I'm 🤢with envy. 😁

Thanks to this very forum, long ago I was able to honour my username 😉

Mind you at the current rate I should probably change it to EF64-0 ... I was keeping clear of the older Kato version but was unable to resist this Roundhouse rendering of Hachioji-based EF64 77 as it was in ca. 1986, painted all nicely for hauling the descendant of Amaterasu along the Chuo Line:

Interestingly it comes with the grab handles as separate parts rather than the moulded represenation on the standard models.

Here it is in action:

New toy(s) have arrived today - a set of Kato Koki 106/107 container flats. This comes in a set of 10 and will compliment my existing fleet of 8 wagons (4 grey frame, 4 blue frame). These do not come with containers and whilst I may get a couple of packs of containers, I like the detail on the wagons, so may run a good percentage as empties.

They are beautifully detailed and being a mixture of plastic and metal, are quite weighty. Too big for Kenekimura, they'll have to wait for my next project!

The DF200 is an old model I've had for years.

Very nice... I too seem to have a bit of a thing for EF64s, having obtained a fair few across the years. Can you have too many?

Time to switch to more humdrum items this time! No shiny new rolling stock or second hand locos (maybe next time...?), just a set of number boards for the Hokutosei DD51s and a new set of ED75 coupling assemblies for my damaged 3028. I'm hoping the new coupling assemblies - read: plows and couplings - from the 3075 version will fit and if not, I'll have to conduct a little surgery. But not too much, those plows do not like being knocked around as I've found to my cost. Next on the shopping list, new couplings and coupling springs for my coaches and DD51s.

Oh, and does anyone have any tips on dismantling the older 7002-series DD51s? After my last blunder when I sheared off a set of cab securing lugs taking the first one apart I don't want to break anything... admittedly they were flimsy little lugs and I don't think the dismantling sketch on the instructions shows you where the lugs are.

Since Japan Post resumed delivering to Italy, I got three separate orders at the end of last month, from Banzai Hobby, Hobby Search and Plaza Japan.

The quickest one to arrive was the one from Banzai Hobby, three buildings and a bunch of figures:

Then the one from Plaza Japan, some station furniture:

And last one, from Hobby Search (I had to pay a ransom from customs, so that's why it was delayed).

A couple of buses, a building and a bunch of street furniture:

My very first N gauge arrival, used evilbay purchase in excellent condition.

I notice there’s a small hole in the roof of each cab....is there something missing?

I really need to get some track now.

It's where the emergency smoke flare thingy goes:

Check underneath the plastic inserts, the sprue might be there if you're lucky.

Cheers, unfortunately it’s not there, but I’ll able to knock up replacements. Decals are present though.

My Covid bulk mailings are starting to arrive. Evangelion busses, Chinese HSP "improved" starter set, some buildings and a few more Sagawa trucks.

Wow that is a lot of Sagawa trucks! Nice!

Thanks. The goal is to someday make a Sagawa depot for my Super Rail Cargo train. This is the only picture I could find, but I must have about 15 trucks and vans so far before today's arrival.

If you look inside some of those containers, you might find some packages addressed to myself ;).

Nah, I just hang about at home during the pre-appointed time slot waiting for it to arrive, which it almost invariably does.

Here's one which turned up with the recent batch of Tomix EF64-0s:

Excellent condition, all bits attached reasonably well, which is a good thing as like the EF64s the box was utterly devoid of any other parts (and hence cheap, of course). I have rehomed all these into Kato boxes, which significantly reduces storage space, which is kind of important as it is slowly running out again.

I splurged and got a V16 on a certain auction site. I finally have the largest radius curves for my outside loop of my t-track modules. I also have numerous packages in storage at a warehouse in Japan. I hope to finalize shipping arrangements for the first group of packages next week. 🙃
