So that's what our new EMUs for Brisbane that are being built in India are going to look like.

Yes - sort of, "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue".

That oversized cephalopod riding on the tram looks like it's related to Gezora, the giant land-stalking squid ( it walks on its tentacles ) that menaces islanders in Toho's "Space Amoeba" aka "Yog, Monster From Space" back in 1970. Gezora's "buddies" in the movie are Kamoeba the giant turtle and Ganime the giant crab. Silly but fun.

Ahh space amoeba! I remeber it from childhood! We had a great Indy tv station in the sf Bay Area back then that had loads of Japanese tv animation series and loads and loads of toho. Wish it was not oop! Love the old toho.
