marknewton Posted March 5, 2015 Share Posted March 5, 2015 I've seen that term used a lot, though not in Australia - they were always known as trolleybuses here. But it's an apt description for the Sydney vehicles as they were always regarded as trams by the NSW Government Tramways. They were crewed by tram drivers and conductors, numbered in the tramway roster, and even carried lifeguards when they were new. All in all they were very interesting vehicles. Cheers, Mark.
