And we still dont have a model of the Ex-Odakyu 20000 RSE in this Fujikyuko 8000 series in Fujisan Express livery or the 8500 series in Fujisan View Express livery....

I'm divided. I want the working lights MA model will have on the Fujikyu 6000 series yet i already have the Tomytec one.....  X_X

Nice! I actually took a few pictures from almost the exact same spot you have here two and a bit years ago when I was in Japan. I remember I was staying overnight in Kawaguchiko the day after a pretty big Typhoon had hit Tokyo. Though I think we actually arrived at Kawaguchiko station close to the time we originally planned!

I was passing through Shin-Kawasaki station today, as one does, taking a passing look at all the parked choo-choo trains (all the EF200s you can eat, a smattering of EH200s and 500s and a couple of EF65s and DE10/11s), when I noticed something angular hiding in the shrubbery:

Yup, the one and only:

Fortunately parked close to the road bridge bisecting the depot area, unfortunately had to poke the camera up against a chain-link fence, hence some grey blurriness around the edges.

Trying to find on Google Maps in satellite view where it's shot from ... didn't found.

I would gather on the road bridge right before the bus stop at the station, north side. You can see the station platform in the background of the last picture.

Yes, exactly. Only location that matches what you see in the pictures. The first one must be taken from the platform.

The bridge at Mitaka is still open for business:

Signs have appeared since last time I was there (which is quite a few months) warning that a) the bridge will be closed in the event of a disaster, and b) it may be closed due to its age at any time.

However no actual notices informing of impending demolition.

Please dont demolish it! I was really looking forward to visiting this bridge! I hear that the Chuo line drivers often horn at people waving at them on the bridge, and i'll really like to experience that and capture it on video....  X_X

Got me stumped. Chuo line train on the track... but where?

I like the big crane a lot.

I will use my inability to visit japan the last 2 1/2 years as an excuse. A lot happens in Tokyo in that amount of time.

You missed Takao - Otsuki and Tachikawa - Ome as potential candidates ;).

I was going to say Ochanomizu as well. Last time I was in the area they were doing something like this over the river.

Ochanomizu is where people change between Chuo and Chuo-Sobu lines, but I don't think many people actually get off there to visit the area. So despite there not being a lot in the neighbourhood, it's become a busy station. I like the name too, "green tea water".

A mere ca. 100,000 users a day of the JR station alone (pre-Covid). Lots of universities, office buildings and medical facilities all around the station, and is known for its shops selling (and buying) musical instruments. Not very residential, though there are still pockets of older housing which haven't succumbed to redevelopment.

And talking of medical facilities around Ochanomizu, here is a sign from a construction site at the hospital complex on the north side of the station, whose threshold I currently darken occasionally, warning not to strike the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line tunnel, which runs beneath the site.

Note also the (unrelated) construction safety blah blah sign to the left which is adorned with furigana, I strongly suspect that is to do with the increasing numbers of non-Japanese workers employed in the industry.

That shot of Ochanomizu station is fantastic, really had me stumped for a while. Been working away on that for quite some time, haven't they!
