There's no English Wikipedia page about the TEM18, but if I'm reading (guessing) correctly, they're built in Bryansk.  Why are these in Lithuania?  Very nice video as always 🙂

You can find information in the producers website below:

https://www.tmholding.ru/en/products/manevrovye_teplovozy/tem18dm.html

These locomotives mentioned in the video were transported to Uzbekistan through Lithuania. Don't know why exactly they did such a circle when they could go directly. But anyway there is some kind of reason :-) Maybe Lithuanian company has sold them like supplier/trader.

Wikipedia has some notes about the engines used in the M62.  It says some Hungarian MAV versions of the loco were rebuilt with Cat engines, but no mention about other operators.  Do all LG M62s have the original engines?  How much longer do you think LG will use these?

Some of our original 2M62 locos were modernized with CAT engines, some of them with Kolomna engines. Locos with CAT are called 2M62M, locos with Kolomna engine - 2M62K. The original engines on 2M62 when they came from factory they had 14D40 engines. Our last original 2M62s were taken out from service in 2008. These 2M62K locos were taken out from service in 2011-2012 year. But in 2017 we faced a lack of locomotives and some of the 2M62K locomotives were taken back. As you see they are not in well conditions, engines are not well maintained by our technicans.. I really dont knw how long we will use these smoky monsters, but it is great to see them working, I mean from railfaning side. Because to work with then is not that comfortable at all. You can find some photos of the inside of these beasts 🙂
