This is it! The big weekend where Tomix/TomyTec, Kato, MicroAce, Modemo, et al. announce their latest and greatest!

Bill has a blurb about it here:

The official website  is here:

And a live photoblog of the events can be found here (notice: Shizuoka is about more than trains!):

The industry days of the Shizouka Hobby Show are now over and shortly (as I post this it's 7:45AM Saturday) the Saturday and Sunday public days will start and we should see more videos and photos.

Wow! I it's supposed to rain tomorrow around here. I think I'll spend all day looking at that photoblog.  :o :o

MicroAce has announced "Project 80", a new line of H0 gauge models!

Well Don, that's good news for at least one of us here! But I think this is more a case of MA announcing new models in the Project80 ranges, as they have already released models of the Kiha40 and Kiha52 diesel railcars. I have one of the Kiha40s, and I'm very pleased with it. It's a superbly detailed and finished model, with a mechanism that is smooth, quiet and powerful. I'll post some photos of the thing when I get a chance.

All the best,

Mark.
