A short summary about Japanese Electric Rail vehicles in Egypt

 

Since 1962 Egypt got a lot of electric rail cars from japan (trams , metro ) rail vehicles
some work under Egyptian rail ways (Cairo underground metro )  , some under Cairo transport authority  and some in Alexandria transport authority

Pic no:3 After the success of the units supplied to the Heliopolis Metro-and made by kinki sharyo CTA ordered new units to work in Cairo (2 units tram ) and in helwan (3 units tram) 110 units manufactured by kinki sharyo in Japan and 40 manufactured by semaf -egypt

 

Pic no: 4 20single units delivered from Kinki sharyo at 1962 to work under Heliopolis company

 

Pic no:5 From 1962 until 1989, Metro fleet was increased to 280 vehicles Japanese industry started in 62 a train wagon train consisting of one then two and three and four vehicles manufactured by kinki sharyo in Japan and some by semaf -egypt

 

Pic no: 6 Cairo underground metro line no 1 was designed by Alstom –France, in 1992 the Egyptian government order new units but this time from kinki sharyo in the same design.

Great work feero! These would lend themselves to print on clear acetate fold up models and some tomytec mechs! A guy in Europe has done some wonderful euro trams models this way.
