This is exciting news. I also wondering like the blog writer if the ears will be fuctional (added cost to the model). Are those the molds for the prototype that are on display (or what are they?)

The first thing that pops into my mind, if those ears are movable, would it be possible to motorize them using some mini-servo type thing.. Guess it'll be difficult =)

sorry to hijack, but i love the way that Nankai 6100 looks, like to2leo said it can almost pass for an american subway train circa 1980s.

sorry to hijack, but i love the way that Nankai 6100 looks, like to2leo said it can almost pass for an american subway train circa 1980s.

 

Actually Tokyu Corporation has built subway cars for Cleveland GCTRA which uses pantographs just like Japanese lines.  Tokyu also has an active used car business.

 

Toyohashi Railway has some older Tokyu cars.
