B Train Trams

Recommended Posts

My first Japanese trams for my new layout. Will get photos of it up soon. This was my afternoon project. Some of the decals not perfect, but considering size, my eyes, and all, I am pretty happy.

I have matching drives to put them on. It was fun, went together well, may consider others in future.post-753-0-70521600-1364079825_thumb.jpg

I haven't been a fan of the B Train stuff (like I need more stuff to buy!), but that Arakawa model looks great. So tempting...

Well I set those cars on the Bandai drive unit. Guess I am spoiled by KATO stuff. They are not a slow runner, at least with the DC power packs I have. My Centram runs very well with the same. They go from slow to fast with just the slightest twist of the throttle. Almost like 2 slot cars than 2 trams. Will have to investigate this further, but they look cool! :toothy12:

Greg,

Might try a diode bridge to reduce the voltage.

I'm interested to see your progress! I'm going to have a tram track on one of my new modules. I'm almost exclusively modeling with B Trains for the time being.
