Hello to all,

First Kato track goodies have arrived !!! :)

 

1st. I'd like to get platforms for the Kato 23-122 , 23-123 Station buildings.

Would ordering a couple of 23-107 , -108, -114, -115, -116  be the way to go ?

 

I don't understand why some plain platforms did not come with the station buildings.

So, I have to order two of the above and pry off their roofs ?

 

Or did I miss something ?

Maybe they assume most people will make their own platforms?

I remember reading on those station buildings before. You indeed have to get some separate platforms and detach the roof structure of them and put the bare platforms under the roof structure of the station buildings. If you want to make island platforms you will need the island platforms of course (the one sided platforms are obviously not intended for this). You can also use an island platforms from the platform sets of course.

Yea, its funny [to me].  
I'd soon pay a little more and get the platforms w/ the station buildings…. Oh well.
Maybe there's info in the Japanese writing. There is one pic in the instructions of a canopy flying off a platform,
but still no part #'s are visible as suggested platforms.

I guess I need to buy 2x 23-107, pop the roofs off.
I won't let them go to waste.
Salvage them by buying some cheaper 23-106, -102 platforms and install the roofs on those for another station ,,I guess that's one idea.
