I'm pretty sure it wont work unless you modify a little.  As the shell mounting is different.

just cut out the bottom of window plastic. iv'e used kato kokuden chassis on kumaden 6000.

btw how well they perform against the cheaper tomix (not tomytec) chassis? also as far as i know coreless motor can't run on pulse based constant lighting controllers.

There are many types of coreless motors. The most imporant feature is the maximal operating voltage. If a coreless motor is able to be run (constantly) on 12V DC (aka full speed), then a PWM drive will be ok. If the maximal voltage is less than 12V, like 3V, then they will be damaged by the relatively high voltage (12V) pulse. Afaik, most classic analog transformer safe coreless motors, that survive voltages up to 16V DC will run correctly with PWM based CL systems. So the question is, what is the maximal allowed DC voltage for the Greenmax motors?

if they used 3v in series with a resistor, will it burns if supplied with 12v CL?

It may work, just get a bit warmer, but i would not risk it. Pure 12V or 16V coreless motors don't need resistors.

Not sure if this is a new release or not.

On the Facebook page is a picture of a kit for two types of 4 wheel hoppers. It appears to be a kit CY 603 does anyone know who makes the kit and where can I buy it?

The kit is for the older type of coal hopper used in Kyushu. It can be seen on the Miike Railway and the Kajima Colliery system among others.

The kit is made by Densha Factory (でんしゃふぁくとりー). It doesn't appear have to a website, but it seems this page has some more inside information: http://matsumushi.nigamushi.net/ and can be purchased via information on this website.

The official sales are tomorrow in the Greenmax store in Akihabara.

Thanks for the link, I've been looking for some of these types of cars!   I can't quite figure out the ordering process though, the translated page isn't making sense to me.

It seems they only sell domestically and you need to add the items to your cart before checking out. These freight cars however aren't listed yet, so the only way for now to get them is via special sales events. I think it'd be good to find a proxy purchaser for these cars or any other product from this website. It's kind of the main hub for garage kits...

Thanks for the link, Toni. Very interested in these wagons as they are the older type of coal hopper to the Sera 1.

Don't know where to place this, but youtube user Tomy Hiratsuka has made a video of the 2017 Yokohama Train fiesta:

And we can see that beautiful Tobu Sky Tree train! That Keikyu Rilakuma train, And also, a yet to be announced Shin-Chan Livery Tobu 50050!

Greenmax has announced that they will produce all five variations of the Tōbu 50050 Shinchan trains:

Seriously BAD news!

Initially, I thought they were ONE train with all 5 paintings... Then I read and see carefully, there were actually 5 DIFFERENT liveries of the 10 car train.... Dang.... Then I would have to make one hack of a choice to choose only 1 to get!!

Here's a video made by youtube user Good チャンネル

That illustrates all the variants...

And a video made by youtube user azumatakeshi  for all the 5 colour variants in real life.

Oh no, I'm a sucker for multi-color liveries of the same train.  I would want them all.  But thank goodness Greenmax is out of my price range.  If I were to get one, I would get the orange color and green, and red....

It will be ragingly expensive to obtain all liveries, but considering just how popular Shinchan is in Japan, these will sell well! I'm not considering getting one though (even questioning why I actually bought a Greenmax 50050 at the moment, as I'm thinking of thinning out my collection).

I was looking through HS when I saw this:

http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10248182

I thought it was this:

http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10418134

And then I realize, wait a minute, the price is not the same...

So it seems the first one is a pre-coloured kit with motor, and the 2nd one is a ready to run kit... Which brings me to the next question, aside from the directional lightings, what renders the big price difference between the 2 sets?

A ready to run model, new coreless motor, directional lights, interior light preparation, plus it's a completely reworked model as well.

Thanks! I guess that justified that heart in me that why I spent so much more. At least now I know i'm getting a better working set!  :)

At least you don't have to get messy and be wary of messing up the model before running it! ;)

I have a thing for Kiha110 series DMUs and have a gaggle of the Kato ones. I see Greenmax does one, too - at a considerably higher cost than Kato. Photos I've seen of the Greenmax instruction sheets imply they may have more added detail than the Kato. However, the Kato trucks are straightforward to convert to Nj which is one of my many interests. (Too #*]+ many!)

Has anyone here had a chance to directly compare the Greenmax Kiha110 to the Kato? I think the Greenmax may be sliding door, and the Kato plug - but I'm more interested in learning about the quality of detailing and running.

And... what is the first set? It seems like a combination of 5 front cars of different liveries... not made to run, but solely for display:
