Huh, didn't realize it was already in service.  Hopefully that means a model will be coming soon.

We all lost a year.

Yap i love it too, but hadnt gotten the chance to ride it... My fav romance car is still the VSE though, its looks is out of this world!!!

Yep, I love the VSE too! It's like Odakyu was inspired by ICE3, but made it for panoramic scenery views! I have seen it a couple of times.... At Odawara and Hakone Yumoto. I definitely want to get a TOMIX VSE, even though the only RomanceCar I've ridden on is GSE, that was a beautiful train to travel on, even though it's not so special as the VSE.... I might also buy a TOMIX GSE to go with the VSE.... Next time I'm in Tokyo, I'll probably be spending a lot of time shopping for trains in Akihabara!

disturman is correct that the last 2 are Kato and the Doraemon train came from him and the H5 is from Tomix.  The only MA train in the bunch really stands not just with the livery but also the detail work.

It was a really lovely model. I had another 781, the Arrigato set in JR Hokkaido livery, and it was also lovely. One of my favourites.

Recent arrivals are an EF200 and 14 wood chip hoppers (another 4 on the way) I’ve seen footage of an EF200 on vans but not these wood chips , I like the EF200 it’s a pity some are being broken up now.

Secondly no modern JR layout would be complete without some KoKi freight again 8 here but will be 10 with a KATO EH500 for power, my trains operate in fixed sets no switching about on the upcoming layout.

Last freight of the day is my KATO EF510 and MicroAce HoKi 1000, really nice cars with some fine details a project on going is to convert them to greenmax knuckle couplers from the Rapidos, on stop at the moment awaiting new glasses as have to trim a little off the green max couplers to fit the pockets comfortably. I want to fit knuckles to the woodchip hoppers as well when I find a way to dismantle them and the correct coupler.

Finally “Thunderbirds are go” well one of the trio is....one of my favourite JR designs hence I have three sets the 5 car 683 Shirasagi 9 car 683 Snow Rabbit and 6 car 681 Thunderbird, I may increase my Shirasagi with the add on pack in the near future.

The black box that houses the coupler can be clipped out easily. Then just replace them with 11-702 or whatever else you want to use.

Contrary to popular opinion, I don't actually own every model ever made and (checks list) the only KiHa 40s I own are JR Hokkaido ones decorated with sea creatures.

Very comprehensive collection of JR Kyushu. But you have more, no? Where are the limited expresses and the joyfuls? I can’t see your 783s.

I’ll play, but the 813 were a bit hard to guess. I think Kato but they could as well be MA. I don’t know them enough to make an informed decision.

Almost 100% correct!!!! BUT the first one is also really tricky!  😛

I had to go along with the Tomix on this one, although the Kato also did one... The Tomix is the HG version with parts, TN couplers and lit up destination board, while the Kato doesnt come with the lit up destination board with only a decal....

I thought it was a Kato because the details looked off for normal Tomix Kiha 40s. I can see now it's only the out of focus.

Great line-ups. I can see you have two of the Yufuin No Mori. Which one of the MA do you have? In and all, you are only missing some of the Kiha 183s (Yufu Deluxe, Aso, Dutch Village) and your JR Kyushu lineup is about complete.

Wow! That’s a pretty impressive collection of JR Kyushu trains, many of which are difficult to find. It would put a lot of the locals collections here in Kyushu to shame.

I have the older 4-car set A7890 , it was going for quite a decent price hence i thought why not~ It certainly loses in terms of detail with the Tomix HG Kiha-71...

Yeah i notice i needed a Kiha-183, and kicking myself for letting go one of the carpet trains that i used to have, the No Do Ka set..... Now i need to source for maybe the Yufu deluxe or the Dutch village cause the Aso boy is simply too costly....

Love the No-Do-Ka. I have the Sylpheed but it pales in comparison. Weren't the older 183-1000s normal limited expresses? I still have the three-car Oranda Mura Tokkyu (A8245). One of my last Kyushu trains. It's neat. Peak 90s livery design.
