Hotel in Japan offers a model train in their guest suite

It's not that bad, if you plan on staying for the whole day in the room. That way, you'll save the money you would have spent somewhere else in Akihabara anyway.

 

BTW, that Washington Hotel has just finished a complete renovation a couple of months ago. It looks a lot better now than it used to!

That's not a whole hell of alot more than I paid for my room per night in Ueno two years ago, and this room looks a lot bigger than my room which was roughly half the size of my bathroom here in the house. By comparison the cost of this Akiba room is about the same as it costs to stay in a sleep car on Amtrak per night and at least in Akiba, you get to run the trains, not be confined to a room twice the size of my room in Ueno.

haha thats pretty cool!  for 265 a night it better include the girl too! jk....

 

that ginza bar looks really cool too...its amazing how many business owners love model trains and incorporate them into their work.

How can I swing a business trip to Akihabara? Does it have a power station that needs my attention.

 

I can wire a plug if you need someone to carry your toolkit  :grin
