It is April, and Golden Week is not far off,  Already Rainbow Ten has announced it will be closed April 29 until May 5th.

There is also a sale at Rainbow Ten!!

 

I will post other closures as they become known.  Generally all internet stores will close their fulfillment operations during this period, with emails not being answered and items not shipped until after Golden Week ends. That will result in a backlog of orders waiting to be processed.

Golden Week Operation Notice

 

Thank you all for using Rainbow Ten mail order.

 

Between 29th April 2010 and 5th May 2010 inclusive, we run our operation with less number of people, taking vacation in turn. There will be a delay in our process. Please kindly understand. We can have your order during vacation time as usual, but shipment will be carried out after 6th May 2010 as stated below:

 

1) Shipment suspension for SAL/AIR/SURFACE/EMS: from 29th April 2010 to 5th May 2010

Any orders placed during vacation will be held shipment until 6th May 2010.

 

2) Operation Slowdown: 30th April, 3rd, 4th May 2010

We can still answer to your inquiry, but not as quickly as usual.

 

3) No operation: 29th April, 1st, 2nd, 5th May 2010

During these days, no personel will be on-line.

 

*We need couple of days to catch up the delay after the vacation time is over.

 

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understandings.

 

 

 

Get those orders in!!  April 29 is next Thursday.  After Golden Week there will be a backlog of online orders that will have to be cleared as there is every year.

I got EMS tracking # for both items I got from Plaza Japan and HW and if the item is in-route (by tracking), does the Japanese Post office close too?  I hope it get out of Japan this weekend if there are any shutdown.

I am very certain the Japanese post office does close.  But in four years of watching I have never found an explicit notice of holiday closings.

Well, I still have to see real shops closing for the Golden Week. They are still open everywhere in Osaka and model train shops, as the others shops, were totally crowded today.
