Bill,

Thanks!

Groan, micro ace has to do this one! Quite nice art. Going to have to overpaint the windows on this one.

MOG it's Looking good! But JR West is still using the 103 series on Osaka loop line? Or is that a 201 series? Heard somewhere they're replacing them for 221 and 223s...

Anyhow, good looking paint scheme! I want it! Although it's not my region, but the painting looks really neat especially the Osaka castle ..... Reckon an expensive train if MicroAce makes it as it is a full 8-car painted train....

This is a JR West document and it says Series 103 near the bottom.

There are so many trains that could be considered painted trains. Its hard to keep up.

Do you long for the days when a painted train was a complete painted train not a wrap (decal) here and a wrap (decal) there train?

Tobu SkyTree train last run. Video by azumatakeshi.

To offer a bit of solace to those who don't know; the Skytree Train won't retire as a consist, but only as a regularly scheduled Ltd. Express. It will remain available for group rentals, charters and special occasions, which could mean that it could still see a weekly appearance for years to come.

The 201 (and 103) series will all be replaced by the 323 series, but there's still plenty of 201s running around the Osaka Loop Line. Last March there still were some 103s as well!

Shinkyuvideo video.  Happy Party Train

That's an Izuhakone Railway 3000 series EMU.

Here's a quite detailed video

For me it isn't the colors, but there's just too much going on - too busy.  All those lines at different angles are disorienting / distracting.
