Sending My Japanese Z trains on a 'Grand Tour'

Recently i took some pictures of my Rokuhan Z trains to send to Rokuhan to show their products running on a U.K style fully scenic exhibition layout (Hakuho) But I then got carried away ad decided to photograph them running on Republic Steel as well

 

 

Republic has a few show booikings this year so was set up in the workshop for some routine maintenace

 

 

At shows Republic nearly always goes out with the 1990s British stock on these days so giving the Japanese stuff a blast was fun

 

 

The C11 again, this time on a local passenger

 

 

I started to get an idea about following and photographing Z Japanese trains from layout to layout so got Cuyahoga out of the layout shed and carried on

 

Rokuhan DD51s, DE10, Kiha 52s, EF 66 and a PRM Loco EF 64 make the Roundhouse a busy place

The C11 heads out with the Fish vans. The rail barge is nearly fully loaded

Kevin, have you ever done shows running all Japanese? Just a few sign changes and looks very Japanese!

Republic has been out at a show running Japanese and got a great response

 

Cuyahoga hasn't been out for a long time and has no bookings either,So  I am probably going to sell it , hopefully, or recycle it. It will be a shame but I am going to need the room so I can build Tapton Junction.

 

Shasta, which you will see soon as part of the 'Grand Tour' aso has the axe hanging over it

 

 

Both layouts are highly respected but finding a new home for them isn't easy and a lot of Z enthusiasts will miss them when they are gone
