The "Meitetsu Hashima Line 40th Anniversary Tetsudo Mokei Driving Event" where you can experience operating a model train was held at the Hashima History and Folklore Museum and Movie Museum in Takehana-cho, Hashima City, Gifu Prefecture on the 18th, and the children were absorbed in running the train.

It will also be held on the 19th as part of the 40th anniversary event of the opening of the Meitetsu Hashima Line.

The event was held with the cooperation of Gifu Train, a group of train enthusiasts in Gifu City and its suburbs, as a commemorative event for the Meitetsu Hashima Line, which celebrated its 40th anniversary last December.

A 1/150th scale Meitetsu train and Shinkansen on the Hashima/Takehana Line ran through the city of Hashima, which was reproduced in a handmade diorama, and the venue was bustling with families. The children put on railway caps and pretended to be train drivers, and operated the trains while paying attention to speed and braking.

A 7-year-old boy from Hashima City who ran a model of the Meitetsu train said, "It was difficult to apply the brakes. I wanted to ride the train."
