JNR C11 123

I saw today on Facebook that C11 123 is I’m the process of being restored to operating condition by the Tobu Railway.

It’s always good news to see steam being restored.

This appears to be the C11 1 that Tobu brought down from Ebetsu in Hokkaido.  If I'm reading Japanese Wiki correctly, they renumbered it 123 for the years that Tobu has been in operation.  Revenue service is expected to start in July.

So reading this thread, I’m a little confused…there are two C11 1s? What was the original number for the Hokkaido C11 1?

Yes there are two C11s.  Yes they have been renumbered.
