I've just purchased a 7 car Banetsu Monogatari set from Tomix. Been looking at the lighting kits, seem to be loads. Does anyone know what ones I need please?

It should be written in the manual that came with the set. If Japanese is an issue, I recommend using one of those translation apps that are available for download on your phone, I use Google translate. If you point the camera on the paper, it will live translate for you.

Otherwise, the best are probably the advanced, anti-flicker HKTILC version: https://hktilc.com/ Most common type for Tomix is the narrow type (https://hktilc.com/product/n0bZSzp3qbEo15BP), color is to your preference. I'm betting something yellow, towards bulb colors. You could cross reference with nighttime Youtube videos.

Hobbysearch is great at linking to accessory products. You'll find links to lighting kit in the product description.

Thats it! Brilliant, so I need three different types looking at that. Many thanks.

Going to Wikipedia, the lighting is different by car, some are light yellow, other white, other really yellow. Good option is to reproduce it with  https://hktilc.com/ as they have 4 different lighting set with the appopriate white balance.

The issue when choosing interior lighting for our trains, is that the color of the interior incredibly influences how we perceive the light outside. One color of light might be prototypical in one car, but look different in another depending of the walls and floor color.

Video of the Banetsu Monogatari at night:

I equipped all the cars with the Lite Yellow lights. Bulb yellow is way too yellow, and white is way too white.
