Unexpected Kato/Tomix compatibilities

As you may already know, double-track curved viaducts for Kato Unitrack at the time of writing only come in the R414/R381 variety. However, someone (correctly) inferred that Tomix R317/R280 viaducts could be used for the R315/R282 Kato curves, since the double track curves for both systems at these radii essentially differ only in track spacing. What other epiphanies have you come across when attempting to combine both track systems?

I'm guessing you're boing to solve the problem with a 'cut'n'shut'?? Cut a wedge of viaduct out of the center and then glue the ends together to keep the two end pieces unchanged?

Tomix does make a couple of viaduct sections without track.  I believe Kato does not. These can be used for elevated double crossovers, crossovers turnouts and other special track.  Tomix is generally a line of wider options, Kato a line fewer options.

I ran into that very problem. I had to make my own viaduct. I didn't need that walls so I left them off.

That curve is 315/282

What you can do is use the single viaduct and cut the center wall. Mount the track using the via duct screws.

R315/282 viaducts

Using the right piers and painting the single via duct may work.

If you cut out the center everything should line up
