I can imagine how some of their loco gearboxes must look! For some reason cat hairs love to get wound up in the gear axles.

I'm putting this place on my list of things to do if I ever go to japan...

I guess they're embracing the fact that when something breaks you have an excuse to rebuild it better / differently? 😁
