Kato E531系 Old vs. New

Hello all,

I'm looking to buy a Kato E531系 set and I was wondering if there are any major differences between the different versions released (detailing, running quality, etc.). There are two options for me right now: Buy the older version on yahoo auctions (10-525 from 2007 I think) or the newer one (10-1290 from 2015).

The only differences I found so far were redesigned skirts and different destination stickers for the (then new) Ueno-Tokyo Line - Joban Line service in 2015.

The older sets should be fine. It’s more of a question of how much money you want to spend and if you are okay with a slightly older model. Keeping in mind that the most important metric is how much the set was run by its previous owner.

Edit: Personally, if money is no object and prices are not ridiculous, I would get the most recent model if the previous owner kept it in good shape.
