I was wondering if anyone could recommend good resources about the history of steam locomotives on Hokkaido.

I  haven't viewed these yet, but when I use Google translate and tranlate to Japanese Hokkaido Steam locomotive I get these videos.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems that one of the things Hokkaido is known for us snow?

Hokkaido is the equivalent of parts of Canada weather-wise.   Sapporo has hosted the Winter Olympics in the past.

It is my hope to travel there for the Sapporo Snow and Ice Festival in 2022.  After all, who doesn't want to spend a week of their vacation in freezing cold?
