MeTheSwede
I was a bit surprised I couldn't find anything about this group posted before anywhere on this forum. Cute Japanese girls singing about trains in a museum full of beautiful trains. Everyone ought to like this, right? Most of their music videos (PV) they did some years ago. I guess they don't have much of a budget as presumable their fans spend too much money on model trains instead of spending it all on their favourite idols like normal idol fans do. 🤔 There are a lot more trains than music on their Youtube channel. The video below is a full lenght concert in April when two members graduated (quit) the group. You'll notice that their intro is very... thematic. There are actually two branches of the group. There's a "Tokyo Station" and an "Osaka Station". 2 1 Link to comment

NateJ93
I'm normally adverse to anything that isn't country or Southern rock, but I must admit the first video was interesting, it looked like they had a lot of fun filming it. Are there English lyrics anywhere? Kinda curious as to what they were singing about. 1 Link to comment

I searched for the lyrics (歌詞) and then put them through deepl.com, which is currently the best online translator for Japanese: We keep running. Sometimes we stop We have to stop. We need to stop, don't we? You know what? What made me realize that Sometimes at railroad crossings When the breaker comes down Waiting for the train On the other side of the tracks There are so many dreams But today I'm going slow The tiger pattern The end of a clothesline They came down at the same time on my right and left And the alarm is going off The alarm is going off. It's like a spur to the moment. It's echoing. I think I'll cross as fast as I can. Shall we cross? I don't think so. There's no need to push yourself. From now on You can stomp your feet. It's okay to stop. The crossing is not the goal Is not the goal Even if you hurry, the road is endless It will continue on If you have the courage You'll get there The people on the train They're looking at me and smiling Let's not rush now, let's wait The two lamps They're winking at you With red eyes, alternating left and right The arrows pointing in the direction of travel And before you know it, they're both They're glowing. When will this gate open? When will this gate open? I can't wait This time is precious We're running Sometimes we have to stop Sometimes we have to stop It's necessary. You know what? What made me realize that Sometimes at railroad crossings When the breaker comes down Waiting for the train On the other side of the tracks There are so many dreams I'll take my time today I can't wait I want to go to that place I'm gung-ho for my dream I've been jogging But I've been jogging But I still need to take a break. I'll take a break You can stomp your feet. It's okay to stop. Because the end of the railroad crossing Is not the goal Even if we hurry, the road is endless It will continue on If you have the courage You'll get there The people on the train They're looking at me and smiling Let's not hurry now, let's wait Link to comment

It's not a museum, it's the Jomo Electric Railway depot at Ōgo. They do have some beautiful trains though, no argument there. That's true, I was able to understand a few other words, but it was too fast for me to keep up. Thanks for the lyrics for the other song by the way. Edited January 25, 2021 by NateJ93 Link to comment

I'm biased towards old school country (Like Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, and Hank Williams Jr.), but I can at least appreciate and respect "Station" for their popularity as well as their song for being well written and catchy. Plus me and fans of the group can put our musical differences aside and come together over our mutual love for trains and have a good time, if that makes sense. Link to comment
