Untitled third layout

Over the past couple of evenings I filled in this “island” between the mainline and the freight line. The first pass added the premium Popopro trees; the second, the cheap wire trees, and the third, bushes.

It’s been a while since I worked significantly  on the layout, but I’ve been poking at the roadway running across the back of the Japanese station. The road markings are in place, such as they are. 

I tried two different approaches to the bus stop: the box in the road (above), and the lay-by. 

 

The left hand end needs a lot of work still. The whole mountain is still very much in prototype.

Adding trees and bushes to the last big section of grassland on the Eastern end of the layout. 
 

part 1: the expensive trees

These trees are a little more sparse than I’d like, but then again, they’re a little more expensive than I’d like, and I don’t currently have any more. 

 

Bonus: in the background, a more or less finished bit of road.
