A SL Christmas, the Yamaguchi line in winter

Popped up on my youtube feed today.  Some very well done shots of the SL Yamaguchi over the christmas week.  Its making me tempted to put sound in my HO D51.

Very nice! Great smoke effects. There must be a lot of confidence in that SL has I noticed there was no diesel protection so the SL was on its own.

I guess there can always be confidence in the locos. If they‘re well maintained and looked after there shouldn‘t be more problems than 60 years ago with it.

That being said, C57-1 failed on them some time ago, so yeah 😄
