Christmas-New Years 2009

I was just looking at HWJ's calendar and it looks like this will be a very long break around Christmas and the Japanese New Year's.

 

HWJ will be open Dec 21 and 22, closed Dec 23 for a National Holiday, open Dec 24 and 25, closed Dec 26, 27, open Dec 28, then closed Dec 29 through Jan 5, 2010. That's only 5 days open over almost two and a half weeks.  Expect order backlogs and no email responses during that time.

 

Get those orders in early!!

 

Rainbow 10 hasn't posted their holiday schedule yet.  HS only shows the current month so, we can check on December late on Monday.

More New Year's schedules.  Remember December 23 is a National Holiday. After December 18th most dealers are only open for a couple days at a time between closed dates.

Closed 1/4 and 1/5 for inventory.

Unlike previous years it appears Rainbow Ten is closing entirely.

The New Year's holiday in Japan is upon us early this year, partly because of the calendar and a national holiday on the 23rd of December. Hobby World Japan has only 3 business days between now and January 5. Rainbow has already suspended shipping until January 2010.

 

The usual start to the winter holiday, December 29, falls on a Tuesday meaning that next week is a one day week for many and then the post office shuts down until January 5.

Due to a New Year holiday in Japan, we will be closed until January 4. Item purchased during this period will be shipped on January 5 (please note that there may be some delays in shipping for items purchased during this period).

 

There will also be delays in replying to your emails during this period.

I've never ever found a shutdown notice or holiday notice for Japan Post until today.

Some post offices are open, BUT this does not mean there is mail service. Post offices in Japan also offer banking and ATM services.  It appears the mail stops from December 30th to January 4th and resumes on January 5th which matches some of the vendors schedules.
