Cat
Iori Koubou makes a lot of paper train cars and a few locos, and also some structures, I also see they have a form on their website for taking custom commissions: http://iorikoubou.com/ Their structures are listed here: https://iorikoubou.cart.fc2.com/?ca=10 I had spotted their detached Public Housing A on Hobby Search a few months ago: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10662708 At the time I found it, it was listed as Pre-order closed in February and unknown release date, so I set up Notify When Available. It came in about a week ago, but was immediately listed as Sold Out; they didn't receive any extras for general stock. Not being sure if this was a product that would get another production run or not, I tracked down the company's website. Put a request in through ZenMarket to purchase two of them directly. Alas, the timing was off and my request went in just before their office staff all took a full day to go help in the warehouse. Two days, later, they got the request sorted out and I was cleared to buy the items, but by the time I could put the actual purchase in, there was only one left in stock. I've got that one now at ZenMarket. Notify Me is back on at Hobby Search. Iori Koubou hasn't marked their page as Sold Out, so here's hoping they will make another batch. There are several small housing developments around the Katsuta Yard area; which is how they first caught my eye.when I went down to street view to see what all those little red roofs were: https://www.google.com/maps/@36.4024668,140.5260404,3a,90y,40.62h,88.26t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s0Zy0Yu5LE2BkG-hugJl_Bw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 Getting a second one will be very helpful to model a Shortified public housing project. 2 Link to comment

Cat
I contacted Iori Koubou through the form on their website and asked if they might make more of the Public Housing kits. They replied that they had a few in stock now and will continue to make some from time to time. Not being sure if Hobby Search would ever restock, I ordered a second one through ZenMarket. Also sent a note to Iori Koubou to explain the time lags in ordering through ZenMarket, and asked if they could please hold onto stock until the process worked its way through. I put the request in with ZM, they check stock availability, then get back to me that it's available, then I can pay, and then they pay; it all takes several days. Second kit has now been fully purchased (alas with second round of ZM fee and postage). Link to comment

cteno4
Looks like they need to be painted as not using the sakei type colored laserboard. I’m always a bit Leary of this with chipboard and warping. public housing shows the beige lasercut chipboard with singeing. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10662708/40/1 alos just noticed a laser cut kit from Morin and a roof shack (kind of surprised they didn’t include it to finish off the larger building). https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10824608 https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10824610 jeff Link to comment
