Thanks to urbanbiobio Youtube channel, there are cab videos in normal speed for two services: Metro Valparaiso service or Merval service (From Puerto Station in Valparaiso to Limache station in Limache city) and Metrotren Alameda - Nos service in Santiago de Chile (there are subtitles to station names and another stuff like bridges or tunnels for example).

Spanish words used in videos:

- Estación: Station

- Puente: Bridge

- Túnel: tunnel

Thanks for posting these.  I worked in Bolivia a few years back and wanted to travel to Chile but never managed it.  I am hoping to do so in the future when travel returns to normal.  My Spanish is weak but I know the essentials  - how to ask for directions to the train station and how to order coffee and food so I am good to go.

Adios,

Talcahuano/Laja Train (from Mercado Station in Talcahuano to Laja Station in the city of Laja) (UT440R train)

This service shares Biotren Line 1 tracks with Biotren regular services (Mercado/Concepcion/Hualqui) until Hualqui Station in the city of Hualqui and continues beyond until Laja Station. Recently, new trains built by CSR Sifang (from China) were added in both services.

Enjoy the rides.

  • fpav_2125 changed the title to Cab ride videos from Chile and Argentina

This time I found official cab videos from Argentina recorded by Trenes Argentinos (Argentinian Trains) Youtube channel (Trenes Argentinos is the state-owned company for freight and passenger operations, also infrastructure and human resources) Those two services are inside Greater Buenos Aires Area and City of Buenos Aires.

San Martin Line (From Jose Clemente Paz Station to Retiro Station, this is a commuter rail service)

Tren de la Costa (Train of the coast, from Av. Maipu Station to Delta Station, this is a suburban light-rail service)

That’s exciting.  The long distance services operated in Argentina, and those in Chile (Tren de la Sur fast regional electric trains operated by EFE) are among the few remaining high quality services in South America.
