Wamu 48000 Woodchip vans

Hi all,

I'm afraid I can't find out much info on these vans, so thought I'd ask here!

I quite liked the look of the Kato Wamu 48000 vans, so I ordered 4 of them! (2 pairs).

I know the Wamu 48000 vans were conversions of earlier vans, were in service between approx 1998 and 2008, and seemed to serve mainly on Hokkaido.

However I was wondering if anybody would be able to enlighten me as to how long a train of Wamu 48000 woodchip vans would be?

I could only find a couple of photos on the net, and these only shewn individual wagons. Does anybody have any videos or pictures they wouldn't mind posting here?

Kind Regards,

Tom

This should answer most of your questions:

Thank you very much! That's such a massive help! I really appreciate it!

I think I'll need to order a few more then! The shortest set I saw in that video was 8 being shunted around, so I'll probably aim to have at least 8. Though that may rise! A UK based model shop has some in stock, and on sale, so I'm going to see how many they have!

Kind Regards,

Tom
