E653 Pantograph Help?

To date, choosing Tomix pantographs to upgrade from the lumpy plastic bits that come with B-Train Shorties has been pretty easy.

Phase 1) Look up train series on Wikipedia which gives mention of the pantograph type.
Phase 2) Search HLJ or HS for that pantograph type.

Phase 3) Profit.  (Tomix has come through every time so far.)

For the E653 Fresh Hitachi, Wikipedia lists the PS32 single-arm.

Product search failure — wahhh.

Couldn't find any close up photos of the pantograph on an actual car.  Squinting at photos of the GreenMax model helps, and there are a couple of somewhat similar offerings from Tomix and GreenMax.

Does anyone know if any particular available model might be closer to the PS32 than the others?

If not, we'll just grab one of the offerings and give Pocky to anyone at a show who notices that we don't have the correct type.

Hmm, crickets.

Ok, squinting at photos and just picking a pleasing Tomix pantograph will be the next step then.

I had looked at those before too, but they don't have the PS32.  Not sure what they did use on their E653, but looks like one of their PT71x models.

In general, how do they compare to the Tomix?  To date, all the ones we've picked up are Tomix, they all look great, and HLJ has had them all (they might have GreenMax too).

For single-arm pantographs, we're already using the Tomix PS37A on on the E531 Series, and the PS33B on the E231 Series, so current inclination is to choose one of the different available style single-arms to proxy for the PS32 just so they look different.

After squinting at many wikimedia images of E653 cars, it looks like there is only a single horn drooping down on each side of the pantograph head.

So the WPS28D looks like a reasonable match, and going with the Tomix brand will keep the level of detail on a par with all of our others:
