John P Boogerd
I have an expensive Cosmic rural station in HO. All the parts are white plastic. Should I paint them before I glue them together? What’s the best kind of paint to use for this? Edited January 16, 2020 by John P Boogerd Link to comment
valkyriepm
Hi John! Yes, I would recommend to paint it before assembly. Maybe a can of primer first and then acrylic paint. I'm not really familiarized with the kit you mention. Could you post some pics? Martin 1 Link to comment
John P Boogerd
It’s Cosmic. The photo is on the hobby search site. Link to comment
valkyriepm
Hi John! All the station I found of Cosmic are wood laser-cut, is that so? If that's the case I would prime it anyway and sand it with a 600grit or more before painting it. Maybe some paint after assembly for the unions or corrections. Anyway, let us know how you're going with the build! Martin Link to comment

bill937ca
There is one HO suburban station acrylic kit. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10158672 There also are two HO rural timber kits. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10168684 https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10168685 Hobby Search has three Cosmic acrylic kits. All are N scale sized for B-Train shorties. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10137907 https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10137906 https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10135617 Edited January 18, 2020 by bill937ca Link to comment
valkyriepm
OK! When I look on Hobby Search on Cosmic+Station only showed me the timber stations.🤨 Anyway, I would say Primer first, the some acrylic paints, the assembly. You can make some weathering afterwards If you like it. Martin Link to comment
